    BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - The latest Drought Monitor Survey indicates conditions have not improved. This week’s survey, released Thursday, showed the drought has intensified across Alabama. Last week, 80 percent of the state was experiencing some stage of drought. This week, its 94 percent, with only Mobile and Baldwin counties basically free of drought. 30 percent of the state is under severe drought conditions - a five percent increase from last week. Those conditions are mainly concentrated in east Alabama.
    Meteorologists said they don’t expect much relief in the coming week.
