Air Quality Alert For Jefferson and Shelby Counties Tuesday

The Alabama Partners for Clean Air have issued a code orange air quality alert for particle pollution for Jefferson and Shelby Counties.

Actions you can take on Alert Days:

·      Carpool or take the bus

·      Combine errands into one trip – Postpone unnecessary travel

·      Limit idling-avoid drive thru’s

·      Mow the lawn another day

·      Don’t burn leaves or trash

·      Don’t fill your gas tank until after 6 p.m.
