DOTHAN, Ala. (AP) - A Dothan police investigator said a Georgia
man confessed to the robbery of a Wachovia Bank earlier this month.
The officer testified at a bond hearing in Dothan Wednesday for
47-year-old Randy Peterson of Blakely, Ga.
Peterson faces a first-degree robbery charge for the Aug. 11
holdup. He was arrested the next day in his hometown.
After hearing arguments, a district judge set Peterson’s bond at
$100,000.
Police said Peterson has a lengthy criminal history in Georgia
that included convictions for rape, sodomy and burglary.
