Birmingham police need your help finding a driver who was involved in a fatal hit and run accident.

Two vehicles collided about 6:30 a.m. Sunday on Interstate 59.

The wrecked vehicle ended up at 16th Street and 9th Avenue North.

One person was killed.

According to a witness, the suspect was a female driver who fled in a 2008 or 2009 black Chevy Trailblazer. The vehicle had heavy damage to the driver's side. Both the front and rear driver's side windows were broken.

The suspect was last seen leaving the interstate at the Arkadelphia Road exit.
