BIRMINGHAM — Foreclosures in the first half of this year dropped more than nine percent in Birmingham compared to the same period last year.
According to RealtyTrac's mid-year 2010 metropolitan foreclosure market report, one in every 104 households in the city were in some form of foreclosure between January and June.
That's 9.2 percent less than the first half of 2009.
However, it's up more than 27 percent compared to the second half of last year.
