Jeffco man drives truck into Pinson BP Station

» 1 Comment | Post a Comment

A Jefferson County man is charged with attempted murder after he threatened a store clerk and drove his truck into the store.

Police say the man became irate Sunday morning at the BP service station on Alabama 75 in Pinson because the store has a pay first policy.

Sheriff's deputies say Roger Mayes told the clerk, "You are going to die and go to hell," then drove his Ford Explorer through the plate glass window, barely missing the clerk.

Police are charging Mayes with attempted murder and resisting arrest.
